Everyone, at one time or another, is bound to have experienced feelings of sadness, "down-ness", and disappointment throughout their lives. Depression however, is much deeper and refers to a range of moods and symptoms that are exaggerated and intense, last longer and cause distress to the person suffering from them. These symptoms typically interfere with a person’s day to day activities and relationships.

Left untreated, depression can escalate and increase in severity over time. Therapy for depression can help you to feel better by providing relief from depressive feelings or thoughts, introducing and improving existing coping mechanisms, and minimising negative feelings. There are numerous forms of depression and similarly, numerous different approaches to tackling the issue. There is no one size fits all approach and we will work together in our sessions to find one that best works for you.
