Psychologist MAPS GAHRI

I help adult individuals with a wide range of difficulties with a focus on work and workplace related issues.

I am a registered psychologist in Perth with a special interest in helping people deal with workplace issues in order to improve their overall well-being and reach their full potential. In addition to my formal education in psychology, I have additional specialised training in a range of treatment modalities including Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and Schema therapy. Currently, I place a strong emphasis on helping people build their skills and knowledge so they can better manage their own well-being and goal achievement. I am a strong proponent of and only use evidence-based approaches in all my work. I am frequently engaged in psychological research and make it a point to stay at the forefront of new developments in the field.

A diverse career path across both Singapore and Australia have allowed me to gain a deep understanding into mental health and well-being in the workplace. One theme that has continually stood out for me was the impact that the right skills and knowledge have on the overall well-being of an individual. This realisation has shaped my approach significantly and I do my best to improve long-term outcomes through skills training and psychoeducation where possible. As a former combat engineer, I am also experienced in dealing with veterans and military personnel, as well as the challenges that they might face in the course of their service.

As an organisational psychology major, a large portion of my training has been focused on psychology at the workplace. I have spent a good number of years conducting in-depth research on business leadership and innovation drivers and have written both my under and postgraduate dissertations in these areas. I have also developed a wide range of workshops and interventions that are currently being used in Australian businesses to train their staff. At the moment, my work is largely focused on employee performance and well-being.
